BAMS at SRK University is the newest addition to the university’s health sciences cluster, launched in 2021 at Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan College of Ayurveda Hospital & Research Centre — joining RKDF’s established Pharmacy, Nursing, Homoeopathic, Medical, and Dental colleges under one university umbrella. The 5.5-year programme includes 4.5 years of academic and clinical study followed by a mandatory 1-year internship, in line with National Commission for Indian System of Medicine requirements.
Students train at the college’s attached Ayurvedic hospital, learning classical diagnosis and treatment methods alongside modern anatomy and physiology — a dual foundation Ayurvedic medical education requires. Madhya Pradesh’s strong traditional-medicine practice base and growing wellness/Panchakarma sector give BAMS graduates regional opportunities beyond conventional clinical practice, including wellness centre and Ayurvedic pharmaceutical roles.
As SRK’s newest medical college, BAMS also has the most room to grow — both in seats and future postgraduate (MD/MS Ayurveda) offerings.

BAMS graduates from SRK University register as Ayurvedic doctors and pursue independent practice, hospital-based roles, or positions in the growing wellness and Panchakarma therapy sector across Madhya Pradesh.
Years 1–2 cover Kriya Sharir (Physiology), Rachana Sharir (Anatomy), and foundational Ayurvedic principles including Ashtanga Hridayam.
Years 3–4 introduce Dravyaguna (Pharmacology), Rasashastra (Pharmaceutics), Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine), and Panchakarma, alongside progressive clinical exposure.
The final year deepens clinical postings across the attached hospital’s departments, followed by a mandatory 1-year internship covering all core Ayurvedic clinical areas before registration eligibility.
