Student Life
Hostels a few minutes from the classrooms, a health centre that never closes, an NCC platoon on the parade ground and NSS volunteers in the villages around Bhopal — plus support cells you can call by name.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University provides hostel accommodation with all basic facilities, maintained under clear rules and round-the-clock supervision.
Large rooms with separate beds, corridors under CCTV surveillance, and a mess serving three meals a day.
The girls hostel runs as an independent facility with the same amenities, staffed by security guards at all hours.
The fitness centre, indoor courts and outdoor grounds sit a short walk from both the hostels and the classrooms. Alongside the sport itself, sporting clubs and a calendar of campus events keep the year busy.
A mirrored training floor with treadmills, cycles and weight stations, open to hostel residents and day scholars alike.
Badminton and table tennis courts stay in use through the monsoon, with chess and carrom set up alongside.
A cricket ground, running track and marked pitches host inter-department fixtures and the annual sports meet.
The institute provides health care to students, staff and their dependents within the campus, including first aid and swift medical aid in an emergency. Consultation and medicines for basic disorders are provided free of charge.
A medical officer and a healthcare assistant run the centre, deciding emergency procedures and maintaining quality of care for students, staff and faculty.
Severe cases are referred to RKDF Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Bhopal, with basic life support ambulance transfer.
Vaccinations and yearly check-ups are carried out at the centre, alongside dental camps run by the Department of Public Health Dentistry.
Two national programmes run at SRK University — the National Cadet Corps for military training and leadership, and the National Service Scheme for community work in the villages around Bhopal.
43 boys (SD) and 11 girls (SW) cadets train under the 12 MPCTR NCC Bhopal unit. Institutional training covers drill, weapon training, physical fitness, map reading and first aid — roughly half the syllabus.
Active since 2019, the NSS unit is common to boys and girls under one programme officer. Every volunteer commits 168 hours across two academic years, including a seven-day special camp, and receives a state-issued certificate.
The university provides facilities for the academic pursuits of differently abled learners, upholding equal opportunity across both the main and off campuses.
